"Cheer girls" - the R-rated performance

First, let me say that there are no cheerleaders in Japan as we know them in America (for basketball/football games, etc.) Japanese high schools have cheerleaders, but they are mostly guys and are straight-faced and tough rather than peppy and smiley. However, on one day of the year (Sports Day), we get to see girls show their flirty, peppy side in shorts skirts. And believe me, it is quite a show. I remember how shocked I was at watching them the first year I was here because it is SEXY. There are numerous "panty shots" for the guys crowding in the front row to watch. This fact wouldn't surprise me so much about Japan if it weren't my otherwise academic, conservative high school... Anyway, perhaps you will see what I'm talking about here...
